ART SICK is an online poetry publication.
We are living in a time that is difficult to make sense of. The language around us often does not fit the reality of the blockade, peace talk, concert, sandwich shop. Still, people are writing. Not because it is easy, but because they have to.
ART SICK is a place for that work. Poems that come from constraint, from lived experience, from joy, grief, or the urgency of the ineffable. Whether you are fed up with the establishment or madly in love with the word, ART SICK is for you.
We are looking for poems that feel necessary and reverent. Or surreal, even incredulous. Work that has been lived with, revised, and brought fully onto the page. This includes prose poetry, experimental work, hybrid texts, and pieces that move across forms. We care about craft, but not as decoration. We care about whether the poem carries its weight.
As a publication from The Poetry Lab, ART SICK extends a commitment to creating space for writers and their work. This is a place for finished poems that relentlessly insist on existing, and for the poets who make them.
